GDPR Information

Last updated: 3 October 2026

This page explains how Hustgrid (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). It applies to users who access our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”) from the European Economic Area or Italy. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Hustgrid Technologies. For any privacy-related enquiry or to exercise your GDPR rights, you may contact us at support@hustgrid.it.

2. Personal data we process

Depending on how you use the Platform, we process:

  • Account data: full name, email address, phone number, password, and role (worker or employer);
  • Profile data: profile photo, skills, work history, bio, and any other details you add;
  • Location data: region, province, municipality, and general location information used to match you with nearby jobs and workers;
  • Usage and device data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, pages visited, and interaction data;
  • Communications: messages, reviews, and support requests sent through the Platform;
  • Billing data: subscription history and transaction records processed by our payment partners.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to create and manage your account, match workers with employers, and provide the services you request;
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): to maintain platform safety, prevent fraud, improve our services, and communicate service updates;
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): to comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities;
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for optional processing such as non-essential cookies or marketing communications, where required. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access (Art. 15): request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectification (Art. 16): request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erasure (Art. 17): request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal exceptions — you can delete your account directly from the settings page;
  • Restriction (Art. 18): request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances;
  • Data portability (Art. 20): receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
  • Objection (Art. 21): object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes;
  • Withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)): withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
  • Automated decision-making (Art. 22): not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hustgrid.it. We will respond within one month, as required by the GDPR.

5. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

6. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission — to protect your personal data in line with the GDPR.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfil legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will securely delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless the law requires us to retain it longer.

8. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit, access controls, secure servers, and regular security reviews.

9. Cookies

Information about how we use cookies and similar technologies, and how you can manage them, is available in our Cookie Policy.

10. Changes to this page

We may update this GDPR information from time to time to reflect changes in law or our services. We will notify you of significant changes through the Platform or by email.
