Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Hustgrid (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and safeguard your information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

Hustgrid acts as an intermediary that connects skilled workers with employers and individuals who need their services. We do not arrange, negotiate, or manage work agreements, and we do not handle job payments between workers and employers. All job negotiation, terms, and payment are strictly between the worker and the employer.

This Policy is made in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended (Codice Privacy), and other applicable Italian and EU laws. It also meets the disclosure requirements of the Google Play Store for apps that collect personal and sensitive data.

1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Hustgrid Technologies. For privacy-related enquiries, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at support@hustgrid.it.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: full name, email address, phone number, password, and role (worker or employer).
  • Profile information: profile photo, skills, work history, bio, and any other details you choose to add to your profile.
  • Location data: city, cluster, and general location information you provide or allow us to access to match you with nearby jobs and workers.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, browser type, pages visited, and interaction data.
  • Communications: messages, reviews, support tickets, and other content you submit through the Platform.
  • Transaction information: payment details, monthly subscription history, and billing records processed by our secure payment partners.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • match workers with nearby employers and job postings;
  • maintain platform safety and prevent fraud;
  • process monthly subscription payments;
  • communicate with you about your account, jobs, and support requests;
  • improve our services and enforce our Terms and Conditions;
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.

4. Legal basis for processing

Under the GDPR, we process your personal data based on one or more of the following lawful grounds: your consent, the necessity to perform our contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of your vital interests, and our legitimate interest in operating a safe and efficient marketplace.

5. Our role as an intermediary

Hustgrid only provides the technology to connect workers and employers. We do not employ workers, arrange work, or guarantee the quality, completion, or payment of any job. All negotiations, agreements, pricing, and payments are made directly between the worker and the employer. Hustgrid is not responsible for any disputes, losses, or issues arising from arrangements made between users.

6. Location data and device permissions

Hustgrid uses location information to show relevant jobs and workers within your selected region, province, and municipality. We do not collect background location; any location access is only used while you are actively using the Platform. You can manage or withdraw location permissions through your device settings at any time.

7. Google Play Store requirements

If you access Hustgrid through the Google Play Store, this Policy satisfies Google’s data disclosure requirements. We only collect personal and sensitive data that is necessary for the Platform to function, and we explain that collection clearly here. We do not sell your personal data. We provide in-app account deletion options through the settings page.

8. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

  • Other users: limited profile details are shared between workers and employers to facilitate job matching and hiring.
  • Service providers: payment processors, cloud hosting providers, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal authorities: when required by Italian or EU law, court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

9. Data retention and account deletion

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfil legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account through the settings page, we will securely delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless applicable law requires us to retain it longer.

10. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption, access controls, secure servers, and regular security reviews.

11. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions;
  • object to or restrict certain processing activities;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (Italian Data Protection Authority).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hustgrid.it.

12. Children’s privacy

Hustgrid is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

13. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place — such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission — to protect your personal data in line with the GDPR.

14. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyse usage, and maintain security. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings. For more details, please contact us.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

16. Contact us

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at support@hustgrid.it.
